Position Core Role
Responsible for maintenance and development ofsystems to support Material Service (MS) operations.Assist in the design, layout, testing, andevaluation of mechanical and electro-
mechanical devices or systems. Support theproduct development activities including drawing board layout andinterpretation and implementation of customer specifications and documentationrequirements.
Provide existing product line support in design activities and / ormodification of hardware in production.At this level, assignments are moderately complex and require use ofinitiative and judgment.
Essential Function andResponsibilities :
Supportproject / process with reporting and communication
Supportthe achievement of overall project targets
Jobprocess engineering, development & verification
Processmaintenance and continuous improvement analysis
Supportdesign analysis, development, and maturation
Developsolutions to problems of various scope and complexity using Honda problemsolving methods
Developand maintain job process operation standards, methods, and procedures inaccordance with HAM safety, ergonomics, quality, and delivery standards
Testnew mechanical equipment after installation to ensure quality and efficiency;make adjustments as necessary
Conductroot cause analysis to prevent recurring problems
Analyzeequipment data to identify areas for improvement in equipment use trend datato proactively address issues before they are major problems
Createtimely / accurate records of actions taken in response to mechanical issues
Serve as technical expert for Supply Chain systems and systemintegration.
Meet / exceed the needs of system’s customers, specifically within the MSand Consolidation Center operations.
Develop and maintain a strong relationship with Internal and Externalteams
Support development and implementation of Visual Management Dashboards.
Support development of plant floor systems ie : Smart Forklift, MoxieSystems, AS-Interface, etc.
Daily Tasks :
Follow-up and trouble-shoot all material handling system concerns.
Communicate challenges and develop immediate countermeasures.
Provide support in areas of technical support, delivery management,associate training and associate development.
Implement system improvements, support customer investigations andcountermeasures.
Interface with internal and external teams.
Ensure all systems are in running order to support Supply Chainfunctions.
Required Knowledge, Skills,and Abilities (KSA’s) :
Knowledge of : Microsoft Office; Basicsof 3D modeling software / 2d drawings; General knowledge of Project Management;Strong understanding of process methodology and flow;
Basic knowledge onRegulatory requirements
Skills in : Problem analysis andproblem solving; Strategy methods to support driving results in areas ofexpertise; Sound decision making;
Creating and facilitating a presentation;Effective written and oral communication; Organizational and interpersonalskills

Required Experience (Typeand Length of Time) :
Minimum 3 monthsof co-op / internship or 0-4 months full-time experience based on education,experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
EducationRequirements (Degree) :
Associate’s or Bachelor’sDegree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Robotics)or equivalent related experience
Honda Factors(i.e. Factors specific to Honda role) :
Open office atmosphere, factory floor as needed. Occasional travelfor benchmarking and support.
Approximately 5 hours of overtime per week.
