The purpose of the Sales Associate is to assist the General Manager with new membership sales by following leads and directing traffic to the studio, booking them into introductory sessions, and presenting the prospect to the Flexologistâ ¢.
The Sales Associate also assists with retaining current members, outreach, publicity and retail. Fitness knowledge or background is preferred but not required.
Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills required
Goal-oriented with an ability to achieve sales in memberships for one-on-one and group session and retail sales
Ability to learn and use the Club Ready software system
Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday
Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills via in person, phone and email
Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Must have proficient computer skills
At least one year experience in a retail, sales, or member service role
Daily and / or occasional travel may be required
Assist the General Manager with the sales process of lead generation, follow up, and close
Book and confirm introductory classes, both in-studio and for offsite promotional events
Manage the front desk to greet and check-in clients and prospects when they enter the studio
Conduct tours of the studio while establishing a relationship with a prospect, tailoring to their specific needs and wellness objectives
Maintain an acceptable level of personal sales production
Emphasize and enforce objectives of the studio as a fitness and wellness provider
Present and describe available services to current or prospective members
Book appointments to achieve monthly sales quotas, follow-up with new leads, and missed bookings
Participate in offsite promotional events, as needed
Rotate stock, perform inventory, and display merchandise
Ensure studio is clean and tidy
Other duties as assigned
At least two years in a retail, sales, or member service role
Proficiency with social media platforms
Familiarity with on-trend fitness clothing brands
Experience with ordering, stocking, displaying merchandise
