Incumbent decontaminates, operationally checks, assembles, sterilizes, and distributes surgical instrumentation, implants, supplies, and equipment throughout the Medical Center.
Incumbent maintains documentation related to these duties and assists in the training of other Sterile Processing Technicians.
Incumbent pulls needed supplies and instruments for next day cases or Emergent cases (E-Cases) by utilizing the OR preference cards.
Performs all tasks necessary to prepare and maintain accurate case carts.
Incumbent operates and maintains sterilization equipment, decontamination equipment, and computer systems related to these duties.
This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
